I am pleased to annouce that the Run will be officially sanctioned by the newly formed British Columbia Paintball Association for 2011.

As those of you who have been around as long as Tom and myself in this game (and Reiner, plus a few others), the BCPA was a non-profit association formed in the mid 90s to sanction events around the province. As a BCPA player from 1995 to 1997, I can honestly say it ran some of the most fun events I have ever attended. From Castelgar, to Duncan, to Tsawwassen, to Salmon Arm, to Nanaimo, to Langley, to Kamloops and Kelowna, teams attended from far and wide. It is my intention that these sorts of widely separated events will once again draw teams and players to each and every event.

I hope to make this happen by assisting the BCPA to offer a quality product at prices that are affordable to players, and to deliver on what the league promises it will. Very shortly, the BCPA mandate will be released, along with our rulebook, and a revamped paintballevents.ca, which will form the information portal for the association in its infancy.

It is our intention to offer BLAST guns this year for the prizes, and to increase the prizes given away at each event. More details forthcoming shortly.
